About Hepker Homes

Who we are

Bart Hepker spent over twenty years in construction before putting his own name on a sign. Hepker Homes is what he built.

How we got started

Bart framed houses, poured foundations, and managed job sites across both commercial and residential construction before he ever put his own name on a sign. Along the way, he saw too many builders moving too fast, cutting corners, and treating homebuyers like a transaction instead of a family.

In 2025, Bart decided to do it differently. He launched Hepker Homes to build homes in Lincoln the right way, with himself involved from start to finish. The first home is underway in the Grandview Estates neighborhood on the south side of Lincoln.

Hepker Homes is small by design. Bart is not trying to build a hundred homes a year. He would rather build fewer homes and stand behind the quality of every one of them.

What we believe in

The principles Bart built his career on, and the ones Hepker Homes runs by.

Built right, the first time

We treat every home as if our own family is moving in. That means no shortcuts on framing, no cheap substitutions on materials, and no cutting corners just to hit a deadline.

Family is the whole point

We build homes because we understand what a home means. It is where your kids grow up, where your family gathers, and where life happens. We take that seriously.

Transparent from day one

You will always know where your build stands and what it costs. We communicate clearly and frequently, and are quick to answer questions.

The family behind it

Hepker Homes is a family operation.

Away from job sites, Bart and his family are rooted in Lincoln, where he spends most of his time chasing his two kids around to sports practices, enjoying the home he built for his own family, and spending time with friends and neighbors.
